The promoter of the project is the Central Emilia Reclamation Consortium in collaboration with Emilia - Romagna Region. The total value of the project amounts to approximately € 2,000,000.
The project aims to create, for demonstration purposes, the environmental and hydraulic restoration of some drainage canals built over the centuries by man for the land reclamation, and located in the territory of some municipalities in the Reggio Emilia and Modena provinces.
Becoming crucial to increase the levels of flood safety, but at the same time, the ecological restoration of drainage canals, this is an important opportunity for the reconnection of the ecological network and improving the quality of the environment.
Essential tool for communication and participation during the project's implementation is the dedicated website.
On the site, in fact, will be available documentations, news and events related to the project in the municipalities of Gualtieri (in the Province of Reggio Emilia), Novi di Modena and Carpi (in the Province of Modena).
