LIFE RINASCE

LIFE RINASCE participated in Manchester's "Platform Meeting"

The project was presented at the International Conference on 24-25 May 2016

The 24th and 25th of May 2016 was held in Manchester (UK) at the Museum of Science and Industry, an important conference titled "WATER WORKS - overcoming challenges to achieving good water status in urban areas".

The meeting followed the publication of the European Water Resources Strategic Report published by the European Commission in 2012.

The report underlines the need to improve land use, tackle water pollution, increase water efficiency and resilience, and improve governance of water management.

The event was also attended by the European LIFE RII Project, which has been presented as a good practice in heavily urbanized areas.

The event also provided comparative sessions between the various participating projects and visits to Manchester and the surrounding areas to see some practical solutions implemented.

Common solutions and practices emerged from the workshop sessions will then be forwarded to the Commission's Directorate-General for Environment.
