Alliance of European Regions on Water Resilience and Preparedness for Climate Change
The Alliance of European Regions on Water Resilience and Preparedness for Climate Change was founded in March 2026 with the aim of strengthening cooperation, investment, and prevention capacities regarding water and territorial safety, consolidating the contribution of Regions to the definition and development of European policies on sustainable water management, environmental risk prevention, and community safety.
28 territories from 10 EU countries participate in the platform.
High-Level Conference on Water Resilience
We are pleased to invite you to the High-Level Conference on Water Resilience, organized on the occasion of the First Annual Meeting of the Alliance of European Regions on Water Resilience and Preparedness for Climate Change. Established in March 2026, the Alliance aims to strengthen cooperation, drive investments, and build prevention capacity regarding water and regional safety.
The conference will bring together representatives of European institutions, regional and local authorities, policymakers, researchers and stakeholders to discuss the implementation of the European Water Resilience Strategy and the role of regions and local authorities in strengthening climate adaptation and water security across Europe.
The event is open to the public and will be held at the DAMA Technopole in Bologna on 16 September, from 10.00 to 14.30 CET.
