Conference “Researchers meet professionals in fisheries and aquaculture for co-operation models in EMFF projects”

Conference organised by Regione del Veneto as a Lead Partner of the Adri.SmartFish project, co-funded by the programme Interreg Italy-Croatia about new patterns of fisheries and aquaculture management and a dialogue between the researchers and the professionals. Adri.SmartFish aims at promoting the small scale artisanal fisheries practices, traditions and value chain in the Northern Adriatic.

Regione del Veneto as a Lead Partner of the Adri.SmartFish project (INTERREG Italy-Croatia) organises in Mestre (VE), Italy, in the premises of the Scientific Campus, a conference for its partnership about “Researchers meet professionals in fisheries and aquaculture for co-operation models in EMFF projects”.
Several case studies of national and international relevance will be discussed as to illustrate models of co-operation between researchers and professionals in the management of the fisheries and aquaculture.
During the conference, from 16 to 18 p.m., a round table will work in order to launch an Adriatic Consortium for the Small Scale Fisheries, as a project actitvity, with the aim to gather the cross-border SSF operators in a body to represent their instances and to promote the sustainability aspects of the SSF.
