Granarolo, based in Bologna with plants all over Italy, is the Italian market leader for industrial-scale fresh milk and milk products - organic dairy and is one of the leading players in the market of UHT milk (2nd largest market share), yogurt (3rd) and fresh cheeses (2nd). The plants supply the Group’s direct and

indirect distribution centers, and every day, approximately 60,000 points of sale are served. The market is mainly domestic. The Group's products are also present in foreign markets in Europe, North America and Japan. Granarolo takes an integrated approach to quality policies, reconciling economic, environmental, and ethical objectives along the entire food chain, from the farm to the consumer's table. About three decades ago, it began with the strategic option of high quality and today has reached a high point with certification for traceability, quality, environment, health and safety in the workplace. For some time directly involved in the issue of climate change and GHG emissions in the sector, in Climate ChangE-R, the Group deals with all aspects of the fresh milk supply chain.
