Practical guide to breeding sheep in Albania

It is not a veterinary or animal husbandry manual, but a collection of good practices introduced during field interventions

The populations of Northern #Albania have practiced the breeding of goats and sheep since time immemorial, a fundamental activity for their livelihood. The lack of information with respect to modern breeding practices represents a limit to the development of the supply chain and the remote location of many small family businesses makes veterinary support difficult. Hence the idea of a Guide that can serve as a reference in daily activities that revolve around the breeding of small ruminants. It is not a veterinary or animal husbandry manual, but a collection of good practices introduced during field interventions, the result of the collaboration between different subjects alongside Albanian breeders and concluded in the latter period of "confinement" in smartworking between Italy and Albania.
