Covid 19: the anti-inflammatory properties of the Mediterranean Diet

The 14th of May webinar led by dr. Annamaria Colao, Full Professor of Endocrinology at the University Federico II of Naples and UNESCO Chair for Health Education and Sustainable Development.

Thursday May 14th we invite you to know more about #nutrition during our #webinar "Potential Nutritional interventions for novel COVID-19".

No guidelines have been defined for nutrition in the course of an epidemic, so just some hypotheses can be raisen. The Mediterranean diet, because of its natural anti-inflammatory properties, is one of the best dietetic schemes to follow. The richness in vegetables and fruits increases the consumption of mineral salts and vitamins. Furthermore, the use of integral carbohydrates improves gastro-intestinal microbiota with great advantage on immune response and reduction of inflammatory proteins.

This webinar is led by Dr. Annamaria Colao, Full Professor of Endocrinology at the University Federico II of Naples and UNESCO Chair for Health Education and Sustainable Development.

It will start at 4:00 PM CET until 4:30PM, including Q&A round.
