MD-net will be present at Sana fair in Bologna
On Monday September 9th, 2019 from 10 o'clock to 11.30, Tourism Department and Agriculture representatives will present the project MD.net “When brand meets people” in the Emilia-Romagna regional government exhibition area – Pavilion 30 inside Sana (31st international exhibition of organic and natural products).
Md.net is project financed by the Interreg Med Programme which aims at strengthening the economic and identity potential of the Mediterranean diet, a UNESCO heritage.
According to the project, Mediterranean diet s not only healthy eating, but rather a lifestyle, common to all countries in the Mediterranean Basin, which focuses on people and therefore conviviality, culture, traditions and local customs.
The project includes 13 partners which aim at the creation of a Mediterranean diet brand for the development of the territory.
The final goal is the creation of innovative product and services, thanks to international collaborations as well, which will promote the Mediterranean diet as an expression of the nutrition, history, culture and ethics of a territory.
The activity of the Emilia-Romagna regional government in this partnership will become effective in the coming month with the involvement of touristic and agri-food stakeholders.
Public bodies, research centers, companies and citizens, following the quadruple helix model, will be identified as pilot project areas.
Economic operators who will engage in applying the principles and values of the Mediterranean diet will be acknowledged by the MD brand.
