National meeting between numerous LIFE Italian projects
In the historic location of the "Prodi" hall of the University of Bologna, a national meeting was held between several LIFE Italian projects.
The event, organized to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the LIFE program, saw the direct involvement of the European Commission and the Ministry of the Environment and the Protection of the Territory and the Sea, together with representatives of the various projects involved.
The morning was devoted to presenting the results of LIFE projects divided into two main themes: "Biowaste Valorisation" and "Water Management and Agriculture".
The project LIFE RINASCE was also presented at the meeting.
The afternoon was dedicated to precision farming and water resource management, with the presentation of the new LIFE project "Agrowetlands II", coordinated by the University of Bologna, in collaboration with "Agricare" and "HelpSoil" coordinated by Veneto Agricoltura.
The common solutions and practices that emerged from the work sessions will be included in the Italian contribution to the next "G7 Ambiente" of 10-12 June 2017.
