EU International Partnerships Youth Sounding Board call for application

A new call for application for the Youth Sounding Board, aiming to create a space for meaningful involvement of young people in the EU’s international cooperation policy

EU Commissioner for International Partnerships, Jutta Urpilainen, is establishing a Youth Sounding Board to directly advise on the relevance and effectiveness of the EU’s external action when it comes to youth.

The Youth Sounding Board (YSB) will be composed 25 young people aged 18-30 years from Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean, and Europe.

The YSB will allow young people to have an influence on EU actions in partner countries, helping ensure that EU action is more participatory, relevant and effective for young people.

It will foster active engagement and exchanges of 25 selected young people and will advise on:

  • youth participation and empowerment
  • youth aspects of Directorate-General for International Partnershipspolitical and policy priorities

It will also advise on EU external action on topics such as employment, education, training and entrepreneurship, environment and climate change, human rights and democracy, peace and security, digitalisation and technology, gender social inclusion and health, peace and security, as well as culture, arts, media and journalism.

Deadline for applications is 26/04/2021.
