SFC Winter School in Split
The education program named "Winter School: The Perspective of Sustainable Development in Urban Areas" organized by the City of Split in cooperation with Faculty of Economics, Business and Tourism of the University of Split was successfully completed in Split. The program was organized by City of Split in cooperation with Faculty of Economics, Business and Tourism of the University of Split.
The program lasted for almost two months and brought together students from different faculties who had the opportunity to hear a number of interesting lectures on sustainable development topics, the UN Agenda 2030 and related SDGs, from professors of the University of Split and experts from the leading European research institution in the field of regional development (Nordregio).
The lectures were accompanied by active participation of students, numerous questions, highlighting the examples of good practices from other countries and inspiring messages from all participants. The experience and knowledge that students gained through this program will surely inspire them to make positive changes and think about sustainability and achievement of the SDGs in their careers and daily lives. Also, they will be able to spread their knowledge to their environment, co-workers, family and friends.
The students were happy to be able to participate in this program and described it as very positive experience.
Two of them will have the opportunity to participate in the International Summer School that will be held in Italy.
