Parmareggio

Logo ParmareggioParmareggio was established in 1983 in Montecavolo di Quattro Castella, in the Reggio hills where Parmigiano Reggiano originated. In just a few years, it became a world leader in the production and marketing of Parmigiano Reggiano. In 2004, the Granterre Consortium in Modena acquired the majority holding. The Granterre Consortium is a cooperative that associates 60 individual producers and 36 dairies representing about 1,000 farms and agricultural concerns. This acquisition marks a shift in business strategies and brand image. In addition to this a new range of products has been launched. In fact, in 2006, the Parmareggio Project was started, with the specific aim of creating a brand in the undifferentiated world of Parmigiano Reggiano. The current Parmareggio brand was created, introducing Signore Parmareggio to the brand, an ideal company owner and guarantor of Parmigiano Reggiano Parmareggio’s quality. The capacity for innovation has been a determining factor that has made it possible to develop new products and new opportunities for the consumption of Parmigiano Reggiano, thanks to intense research. Today, Parmareggio has two factories in Montecavolo and Modena and a range of products featured in all the modern distribution channels. It is a reference for the consumer in the marketplace of Parmigiano Reggiano and the first company in the sector to have communicated its brand values through a television campaign. From 2009, Parmareggio then incorporated the company Fiordalba Srl and the butter factory in Modena, becoming not just the leader of Parmigiano Reggiano, but also one of the leading companies in the production, packaging and marketing of butter. Since 2013, Parmareggio has been a leader in the market share for butter.
