Welcome ARGOS! An online kick-off meeting

On the 4th of August, 2020, a first online Kick-Off Meeting of the project ARGOS (extended title: shARed GOvernance of Sustainable fisheries and aquaculture activities as a leverage to protect marine resources in the Adriatic sea) was held, as to introduce the project partners and to present a shared agenda for the coming project activities.
The kick-off meeting agenda included the presentation of a detailed Action Plan, with the purpose to promote and disseminate a shared and integrated approach to the protection of marine resources in the Adriatic Sea basin, through the enhancement of institutional collaboration activities and other actions for mitigation of the direct and indirect environmental impacts of fisheries and aquaculture.
Between the main objectives, ARGOS focuses also on the creation of a common regulatory framework for the management of the fisheries and aquaculture in the area, the promotion of networks among local stakeholders, the integration of the existing databases and improve the quality in programs at a local and regional level, with the view to create a functional cooperation framework, better training for blue skills and blue careers.
