The outstanding event's 2023 edition held from the 25th to the 27th of April

The Emilia-Romagna Region is partner to the Italian Ministry of Agriculture, Food sovereignity and Forestries in the organisation of an exhibition devoted to the fisheries and aquaculture sectors, Global Seafood Expo, whose 2023 edition is to be held in Barcelona from the 25th till the 27th of April.

Global Seafood Expo is one of the most important European level events with the view of promoting the value chain of fisheries and aquaculture; in 2023, besides the Emilia-Romagna representative, whose participation was supported by the Argos Interreg Italy-Croatia 2014-2020 project, several local entrepreneurs were present, five of whom were selected to showcase inside the "Piazza Italia" stand.

Inside the Emilia-Romagna stand an artwork by Fiorenzo Montalti will remind visitors about an anecdot from the life of Dante Alighieri, to enlighten the importance for a sustainable fishery practice to respect the minimum landing size stated by the European Union in order to achieve the right balance between fisheries and the ripristination of the fish stocks.

During the event, several speeches will be held in the stand, and among them the presentation of the project Argos Interreg Italy-Croatia 2014-2020, a talk-show about the Northern Adriatic Sea governance dell’Adriatico and the newly set up Adriatic Advisory Council, a presentation of the mollusc farming in Emilia-Romagna, and a debate about blue skills.
